Symposium Title: Teaching to the National Science Standards: Use of History and Nature of Science in the Classroom
Descrption: The use of history anecdotes and the nature of science in the chemistry classroom is one of the foundations of the National Science Standards. It also creates an important component to enhance any chemistry class. Presenters will share creative activities used in the classroom demonstrating the history and/or nature of science.

Restrictions: The use of chemicals that require ANY type of disposal (due to University policies) are prohibited. We will have the use of vidotape/DVD equipment to project any demonstrations requiring chemicals.
