Workshop Title: Science and Civic Engagement
Descrption: Science Education for New Civic Engagements and Responsibilities (SENCER) is an NSF-sponsored program that seeks to develop a community of learners and scholars who demonstrate the connection between science and civic engagement in their classrooms. After attending the Science and Civic Engagement Symposium, come to this workshop for hands-on practice applying SENCER techniques. Participants will leave with concrete ideas to impact student retention of science knowledge beyond their classrooms.
